The Pines, northwest of Valley, is situated on level terrain.
Strategically placed bunkers guard the greens and sit in several fairways.
The rough is seeded bluegrass, cut slightly longer than the fairways. The fairways are lined with young trees.
The large undulating greens, often cut short and quick, are the most challenging aspect of the course.
The long par 5 thirteenth is one of the most difficult holes. It has a lateral water hazard and two small ponds straddling its fairway, forcing you to think before hitting your tee shot.

Directions from Omaha: Take Dodge St west to Hwy 275 west, to Meigs St exit. Turn left then take first right onto Reichmuth Rd. Go 2 1/2 mile the pines is on the right side.
Directions from Lincoln: Take I-80 east to Exit 432 (Gretna). Take Hwy 31 north to to Dodge Street. Continue from Dodge St as described above.
