Cottonwood Greens Golf Course
Veterans Dr
Spalding, Nebraska 68665
Course Type: Public
Tee times not required
Cottonwood Greens is a tight little layout along the Cedar River.
The current layout is the last in a series of Spalding area courses that were closed due to frequent flooding.
The perimeter of the course is thickly populated with cottonwoods.
The main body is open with parallel fairways and two water carries.
The greens are small and crowned. They are so difficult to hit and hold that a visiting golfer once remarked to a member that there had to be elephants buried under the greens.
The Cedar River comes into play on four holes. You tee off over the river on holes 2 and 6, and you play along its edge on the dogleg 7th.
