Sand Ridge is a member designed and built layout.
It replaced Rushville's long standing sand green course, Modisett, in 1997.
Sand Ridge is just one part of a multifaceted recreation area along the south side of town. The track runs across a series of knolls and dips. It features seeded rough and many young trees.
The toughest shot on the course is the blind approach over a hill to the 5th green.
Encompassing 80 acres, there is plenty of room for a back nine in the future.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 126 (Ogallala). Go north about 142 miles on Hwy 61 to Hwy 20. Turn left and go west on Hwy 20 about 43 miles to the east side of Rushville. Continue west on Hwy 20 to the city street past the city park (you will see the park on your left). Turn left on the city street and go 1 block south. Turn right and go 1 block west and then turn left again and go one block to the entrance (next to the baseball field).
