This is a relaxing course with a park-like atmosphere.
Trees are scattered about between lush bluegrass fairways and rough.
The slightly raised, small to midsize bentgrass greens are in excellent shape.
The first tee sits on a ridge next to the clubhouse, providing a great overview of the area.
The first fairway used to be the Ord High football field in the ‘40s.
Don’t let the course subtlety lull you to sleep, because cavernous, elm-lined Dane Creek is well in play on holes 6 through 9, and the hidden pond on number 4 can sink your score.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 272 (Kearney). Go north on Ave. 2 (through Kearney) and continue north as Ave. 2 turns into Hwy 10 a total of about 40 miles to Hwy 58 in Loup City. Turn left and go north on Hwy 58, and continue north as it runs into Hwy 70 North a total of 24.9 miles to the unmarked street (27th street) in Ord (just passed the Hwy 11 North turn off). Turn left and go .2 miles to the entrance on your right.
