Iron Eagle is the best golf experience available within 10 minutes of I-80.

Tree lined fairways, long water carries, narrow landing areas, greenside bunkers, and tiered putting surfaces await those who take on the Eagle.

Bring a sense of humor and some Tums. The front nine is longer than the back and plays through a forest of cottonwoods next to the South Platte. The back nine breaks into the open and into a Scottish links arrangement.

Preserved wetlands are utilized throughout the course as unforgiving natural hazards. Several holes would serve as signature holes for other courses. One of those is the 6th. It requires a long iron approach around cottonwoods and over sand to a green surrounded by wetlands.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 179 (North Platte, east exit). Go north 1 block on Newberry Access Road to the first left. Turn left to the entrance.
