Holmes Park is one of five city-owned courses.
It is situated on two rolling hills and around the southern tip of Holmes Lake. The greens are broad, gently undulating, and are typically guarded by two small bunkers. Water comes into play on several holes.
Long hitters should be mindful of the hidden finger of water 230 yards out on the dogleg 15th. The 15th tempts you to hit down the right side, around the corner of Holmes lake.
The course's hilltop tees provide some scenic views. Several holes feature clear views of the Capitol.
A variety of challenges make Holmes Park a fun place to play.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 409 (Waverly and Lincoln). Go 2.5 miles west on Hwy 6 to 84th St. Go south on 84th 4.4 miles to 'O' St. Go west on 'O' St. 14 blocks to 70th St. Turn left and go 2.6 miles to Holmes South Shore Drive. Turn right and go .4 miles to a fork in the drive, veer left and go .1 miles to the clubhouse.
