Situated below the dam at Johnson Lake, Lakeside has a little of everything.
Some greens are small and flat while others are large and tiered. Some fairways are broad, rolling and tree lined, while others are narrow and smooth with few trees. Several blind shots are scattered about for good measure.
The par 4, 419 yard 4th is a good example of the course's challenge and beauty. From a raised tee box, you hit to a narrow, uneven fairway that bends to the left. Shrubs, brush and prairie grass line the fairway leading to a narrow undulating green guarded by young cottonwoods.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 237 (Lexington). Go south on Hwy 283 about 9.5 miles to Johnson Lake. Continue on 283 south about 1/4 mile past the dam to the entrance on your right.
