Golf minded people from Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee, and Richardson counties came together to build a great track in Kirkman's Cove.
The course winds around the perimeter of a reservoir. The lake can be seen from every green. Burr oaks, elm, and maple trees line many of the fairways.
Deer will walk through the layout at certain times. An old highway bridge was moved several miles to serve as a cart crossing.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 397 (Beatrice and Lincoln). Go south on Hwy 77 about 43 miles to Hwy 136 in Beatrice. Turn left and go east 10 miles on Hwy 136 to Hwy 4. Go east / southeast on Hwy 4 about 32 miles to an unmarked gravel county road (2 miles west of downtown Humboldt). Turn left and go north 1.5 miles to the entrance on your left.
