Elkhorn Valley is a charming course with some testing golf shots.
The first two holes have a continuous lake that comes into play. From the 1st tee, big hitters will have to decide whether to lay up short of the lake. On the 2nd hole they will have to make sure not to fly the green into the lake.
The tricky 5th is a narrow dogleg right with thick cottonwoods right and a pond running down the left side.
The toughest hole is the short par 5, 7th. It has a very narrow fairway that bends left around giant cottonwoods. Out-of-bounds and a steep dike border the right side of the fairway. The fairway leads to a large green, with out-of-bounds behind.

Directions from Lincoln:From I-80, take Hwy 77 north about 43 miles to the point where Hwy 275 joins Hwy 77. Continue north 8.2 miles from that point to the Hwy 275 turnoff. Go west 2.85 miles on Hwy 275 to Main St. in Hooper. Turn right and go .4 miles to the entrance on your right.
Directions from Omaha: From I-680, take Hwy 6 about 8 miles to Hwy 275. Turn right and go north and west about 20 miles to the point where Hwy 275 joins Hwy 77 (go around Fremont). Continue as described above.
