Holdrege Country Club offers the best of the old and new.
The 70 year-old front nine has straightaway parallel fairways while the newer back nine has contoured fairways, large bunkers and built-up greens.
The front nine is strewn with old cottonwood, maple, ash and willow trees and has a creek that must be carried on seven holes.
Pot bunkers protect small, well-groomed greens while natural dips and rolls cross tight fairways.
The back nine has mounds built along open fairways and around large greens. The back nine has two of the largest fairway traps in the state as well as two sizable ponds.
Holdrege is a must play for anyone traveling through the area.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 257 (Elm Creek). Go south on Hwy 183 about 17 miles to the outskirts of Holdrege. You will see the course on your right as you enter the Holdrege area. Turn right on 18th Ave. (just past the course) and go .2 miles to the entrance.
