Picturesque Grandpa's Woods is an executive course and picnic area that nestles in a little wooded valley northeast of Elmwood.
The whole facility is full of character and charm. The course has changed its image from quaint to conventional in recent years.Grass greens were added and the tee boxes were rebuilt.
Native Americans used to camp next to a wide creek rich with wildlife that winds through the central part of the course.
On holes 6 and 7 you must hit through trees and over a bend in the creek. The undergrowth is cut trim and level with the fairways that consist of a mixture of grasses.

Directions from Omaha: Hwy 50 South to Hwy 1, turn right and go to 310th St, turn left, go 2.5 miles to entrance. ~OR~ Take 1-80 to Exit 426, turn left on East Park Hwy, go to 310th St, turn right and go 8.5 miles South on 310th to entrance.
Directions from Lincoln: Hwy 34 East to Hwy 1, turn left (north), go 4 miles, turn right, go 1 mile East, turn left and go 1/2 mile North to entrance.
