A thoroughly enjoyable golf experience.
Elks Country Club is challenging yet not brutally unfair. The course is not terribly long but it is tight enough to require a precise swing for success.
Trees and doglegs can get in the way of a straight shot to the green.
The greens are arguably the truest rolling in the state.
The 15th is a good example of the course's charm and challenge. A tight landing area leads to a jog in the fairway and then to a green shielded by water short left and bunkers in back.
The 18th is a monster par 4 when the south wind is up.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 353 (York). Go north 53.4 miles on Hwy 81 to 8th St. in Columbus. Continue north on Hwy 81 as it winds through town and joins Hwy 30. Continue to 48th Ave. Turn right on 48th Ave and go north about 2.5 miles to the entrance on your left.
