Broken Bow Country Club is laid out over a slew of knolls and dips north and west of town.

The entire course is in great condition. It features bluegrass fairways, small bentgrass greens and seeded rough. A variety of trees line the fairways. The course has several remarkable holes.

The 430 yard par 4 1st is a very challenging lead off hole with out-of-bounds on the right side, and a pint-size green that has out-of-bounds markers on its right side and behind it. The 1st really plays tough during the summer when it's against the wind.

The 5th is a tiny pitch and putt hole that is surprisingly difficult. The double dogleg 8th is the most scenic hole with a rolling fairway and an imposing elm you must avoid from the tee.

Directions from I-80: Take I-80 to Exit 237 (Lexington). Go north about 2 miles on Hwy 283 to East 5th St. in Lexington (just over the viaduct). Turn right and go 1 block to North Jefferson. Turn right and go 2 blocks to Hwy 30. Turn right and go .6 miles to Hwy 21 North. Turn right and go north 45.8 miles on Hwy 21 to Hwy 2. Turn left on Hwy 2 and go 2.15 miles to the Broken Bow Country Club entrance sign. Turn right and go .25 miles to the entrance on your right.
