A sprawling Evergreen-managed links layout surrounded by a housing development, Tregaron features the best of both worlds: playability and challenge.
It is open but should not be played with abandon. Plenty of bunkers, uneven lies and water will spoil reckless efforts. Wind gusts can slow your ball down when playing to the south during the summer. The north end of the course has two lakes that play on five holes.
The 16th is a gambler's delight. It is a short par 4 that big hitters will be tempted to go for but the water-laden right side will sink any push or slice. Give Tregaron a visit.
Real Golfer Input: Matt Scherkirke, Omaha "..Hole #14 is very long part 5 that has one of the toughest tee shots I have ever seen. With water on the right, a creek in the front, and natural rough on the left, you have to put your drive in the middle of the fairway. Reaching the green in two is almost impossible, but a good drive should lead to a good par if your second shot doesn't land in the water on the right. ... Many of the part 4's are good birdie holes for the decent golfers. One of the more beautifully designed courses I've every played... Definitely worth playing."

Directions from Lincoln: Take I-80 to Exit 439 (Gretna). Go 11.7 miles east on Hwy 370 to Kennedy Freeway. Go south on Kennedy Freeway about 2.5 miles to Fairview Rd. Turn right and go west .6 miles on Fairview to the entrance on your right.
Directions from Omaha: Take I-80 to Kennedy Freeway. Go south on Kennedy Freeway 8.2 miles to Fairview Rd. Continue as described above.
