Indian Trails is quite a course. From the elevated parking lot you'll encounter a spectacular panoramic view of the wooded Elkhorn river.
The 1st hole runs along a hilltop and has a huge drop-off on the left side of the fairway. On the 3rd hole you begin your descent to the lowland holes. It has a 70 foot drop to a bending fairway.
In all, the layout has eight holes where you must either climb or descend. You go down on numbers 3, 5, 11, 15 and 16. You climb on holes 9, 14, and 18.
A mixture of midsize trees line the fairways. Sand protects four greens and a pond lays between the 15th tee and the 15th green. The greens are crowned, slick, and have subtle breaks.
An unusual hazard comes into play on the 10th. If you go over the green you're in a graveyard.

Directions from Lincoln: From I-80, take Hwy 77 north about 43 miles to the point where Hwy 275 joins Hwy 77. Continue 8.2 miles on Hwy 77/275 to the Hwy 275 turnoff. From the turnoff, continue north and west 31.75 miles on Hwy 275 to the unmarked paved road on your left in Beemer (next to an Indian Trails Country Club sign). Turn left and go 1.85 miles to the point where it curves right. Follow the curve and go .3 miles to the entrance on your right.
Directions from Omaha: From I-680, take Hwy 6 about 8 miles to Hwy 275. Turn right and go north and west about 20 miles to the point where Hwy 275 joins Hwy 77. Continue as above.
