Course Type: Public
Tee times not required
A hop and a skip from Harlan County Lake, this course features open bluegrass fairways that lead to small smooth bentgrass greens.
The kidney shaped green on the 5th is an exception to the other greens. It is the longest green in the state, measuring 50 yards long and 12 yards wide. Members originally wanted two greens on the 5th. After building them they decided to bridge the gap between the two, thereby creating a giant.
The dogleg 7th hole is most notable. You tee off from a hilltop to a diving banked fairway that curves out of sight to a small pin point green 450 yards away. A huddle of proud old trees defy you to hit over them at the bend in the fairway.
Alma is a fun course.
